Embarking on the revitalisation of West Village student accommodation, Clansman Interiors undertook a comprehensive refurbishment project aimed at enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and functional aspects of the living spaces. One of the standout features of the refurbishment was the installation of a distinctive feature mesh wall and laminated wall, introducing an element of contemporary design that added character to the living spaces.

The transformation extended beyond aesthetics as we take this opportunity to implement our knowledge of sustainable upgrades. Existing fixtures and fittings were carefully removed to make way for modernisation and new LED lights were strategically installed to illuminate the spaces efficiently. Lighting plays a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere, and the introduction of LED lights not only added a contemporary touch but also contributes to energy efficiency – a great money-saving addition to this student accommodation refurb.

Furniture and decoration updates were integral to the project, with Clansman Interiors supplying and installing new elements to redefine the living areas. Study booths, a TV unit, tables, stools, sofas, cupboards, curtains and planters were chosen to strike a balance between functionality and style. The addition of these elements aimed to create versatile spaces that catered to both academic pursuits and relaxation.

A notable facet of the refurbishment was the dedicated effort to refurbish and restore the existing pool table. Recognising the importance of communal spaces for socialising and recreation, the pool table restoration ensured that a key feature of the accommodation was not only preserved but enhanced for the benefit of the student community. Again, this also saved money and the need for more resources – another win for sustainable upgrades.
